What We Handle — Wildlife Issues Common in Livingston County

From dense wooded lots to suburban rooftops, local wildlife is active — and opportunistic. Our services are designed around the types of challenges Livingston County homes typically face:

We’ve seen it all — and we’ve built proven processes to fix it all.

How Our Process Works

We don’t just show up with traps — we arrive with a plan. Every job follows a proven framework that’s tailored to your property:

1

Full Property Assessment

We start with a detailed inspection of the attic, roofline, exterior, and landscape to track activity, locate entry points, and identify risks.

2

Humane Removal & Exclusion

We install one-way devices, use live-capture techniques when needed, and follow seasonal best practices (especially for protected species like bats) to ensure humane handling.

3

Damage Repair & Reinforcement

Chewed soffits, torn screens, ridge vent gaps — we fix these with high-durability materials like wildlife-grade mesh, metal flashing, and ridge vent guards.

4

Cleanup & Sanitization

From guano removal to insulation restoration, we help return your home to a clean, safe state.

5

Preventive Recommendations

Our team advises on tree trimming, feeder placement, ventilation upgrades, and other long-term prevention strategies.

Spotlight: Squirrel & Bat Problems in the County

Livingston County sees a high rate of attic squirrel activity, especially in homes near wooded areas or with untrimmed tree lines. We regularly handle roofline squirrel infestations involving soffit gaps, vent openings, or ridge cap vulnerabilities.

We also specialize in seasonal bat exclusions, which must be timed outside of pup-rearing season to comply with state regulations. Our team uses one-way exit valves, detailed roofline sealing, and optional attic sanitization to safely and permanently resolve bat issues.

Testimonials

  • After calling and hiring a competitor company, which failed miserably at solving my squirrel problem, I found Ancon Wildlife Services. Dave came out and performed an inspection of my home and informed me that the solution to my problem would be accomplished through a process known as exclusion. The other company only offered trapping services and didn't seem as knowledgeable. Dave informed me that a good portion of Ancon's customers have had a similar experience with other animal control companies. from start to finish I felt good about doing business with Ancon. I highly reccomend their service and I wish I would have called them first.

  • Mike was awesome! my experience should have been filmed and put on T.V.! Seriously. We were hearing chirping noises in our fire place and called Ancon. Mike climbed up on the roof and some how motivated the raccoon to the top. He then wrestled the critter out of the chimney with a pole of some sort and put it in cage. WOW! He wasnt done yet...he went back in the living room and removed the baby raccoons from the fireplace put them in cage and informed me that he would relocate the family all together. Fearless and caring, these guys are incredible! He then installed an animal proof chimney cap to prevent any future animal problems. Top notch service and excitement to boot.
